Château Malmaison
(by Edmond de Rothschild)Château Malmaison – 2015The Wine Advocate91 PointsAn unusual blend for the Médoc of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this wine comes from a Rothschild vineyard next door to its Château Clarke. The wine is balanced, richly perfumed and spicy with swathes of black-currant fruit and ripe tannins. Developing slowly, the wine needs some time. Drink from 2023.

Château Malmaison
(by Edmond de Rothschild)Château Malmaison – 2011jamessuckling.com90 PointsA wine with bright fruit such as currants and raspberries. It’s full-bodied, with firm tannins and a fresh, clean finish. Very fine and polished. Very well done for the vintage. Try in 2016.

Château Malmaison
(by Edmond de Rothschild)Château Malmaison – 2010jamessuckling.com92 PointsAromas of blueberries and minerals follow through to a full body, with fine tannins and a caressing finish. Very finely crafted. Gorgeous wine from here. Better in 2015.

Château Malmaison
(by Edmond de Rothschild)Château Malmaison – 2015Food & Wine30 Bottles from Bordeaux You Should Buy Right NowThis Baron Edmond de Rothschild property, like neighboring Chateau Clarke, has a lovely sense of muscle, with structural bones shining through at this stage of its evolution, as well as finely detailed flavors of mixed currants, black raspberries, and a distinct sense of minerality, all of it lifted on the finish with hints of sweet spice and laurel. Drink this now with air and on through 2029.
