Guide to Italian Wines
Outstanding

“…aromas of orange peel, cedar, dried cherry and truffle…excellent concentration; generous mid-palate. Very good acidity; rich, refined tannins and subtle wood notes…elegant, graceful Barolo…one of the most harmonious, displaying great finesse.”

Wine Spectator
94 points

"The cherry and raspberry flavors mingle with earth, licorice, and tar notes. This red cuts a broad swath, presenting a dense texture and muscular tannins, finishing fresh and delineated, with accents of leather and black tea."

There are aromas of wild rose, mint, tobacco, spice, coffee, licorice, truffle, leather and minerals. This full-bodied wine has great structure and balance and is redolent of plum jam and brambles. The chocolaty finish is harmonious and enticing.
