Andrew Deitz is the Vice President of Sales for the Northeast Division. He fell in love with wine while working in commodities abroad in Scotland and pursuing a degree in finance. When he returned to Boston to finish his degree at Northeastern University, Andrew took a part-time job at Brix, a boutique wine shop in Boston’s South End. Before long, part-time turned into the foundation for a long, storied career as his role as wine buyer broadened. Fueled by his passion for acquiring any and all knowledge from terroir to bottle, Andrew helped the owners expand the shop’s offerings and open a second location in Boston’s Financial District.
When his time at Brix came to an end, Andrew accepted an on-premise sales position at Massachusetts-based wholesale wine and spirits distributor M.S. Walker. From there, he moved up the company roster, holding multiple statewide brand and sales management positions over 11 years. He ultimately oversaw the on-premise sales team in downtown Boston, and managed and grew the majority of the division’s on-premise national account relationships.
Andrew recently came to Wilson Daniels, bringing along 15 years of experience leading sales teams, working collectively and cooperatively with senior management, customer service, production, and operations, as well as cultivating personal rapport with wine professionals from every corner of the industry.
Andrew has built his career from a deep and abiding love of fine wine, gastronomy, and forming close, productive relationships with those who strive to bring the world’s best bottles to market.
Andrew lives in Boston, and loves traveling to interesting corners of the world, fishing and snowboarding.
