Rosé, IGP Pays d’Oc – 2018

Pale orange. Fresh red berries, citrus fruits and a hint of spicy white pepper on the nose and in the mouth. Dry and energetic in style, showing good clarity and repeating florality on a nicely persistent, focused finish.

A blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault give this zesty rosé its character. Packed with the red fruit essence of raspberries and red berries, this rosé is light but still manages to have body. It's nice and lively in the mouth on first sip with a splash of acidity, but the finish is as smooth as oyster pearls—which is fitting because it also pairs incredibly well with oysters.

“Straightforward red berry and tangerine aromas…Supple, smooth and broad, offering warm strawberry preserve and orange pith flavors and a touch of honey. Finishes smooth and gently spicy, with good cling and lingering floral character.”

“…cabernet from Laroche, which does a pretty darn good imitation of a tasty Bordeaux from the Medoc. It shows bright black currant and plum fruit, an inviting nose of violets and spice, and firm tannins on the back end, with a light herbal touch.”
