J. Schram, North Coast – 1999 50th Anniversary (Late-Disgorged) – 94 points – The Wine Advocate
94 points

“With nearly 15 years on its lees before being disgorged, the 1999 J. Schram Late Disgorged … has a light golden color, wonderful, persistent effervescence of pinpoint bubbles and a creamy, caramelized richness. Loads of white peach, apricot marmalade, brioche and baking spices are found in this medium to full-bodied remarkably rich and vibrant sparkling wine. Not only does it prove the aging potential of what Schramsberg is doing, but this could easily pass for a full-throttle, rather weighty and rich French Champagne … This was also created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Schramsberg, as it was released in 2015.”
