Chardonnay, Coddington, Kumeu – 2011 – 90 points – Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar
90 points

“Bright lemon-yellow. Ripe aromas of peach, fresh hazelnut and spicy oak. In a fat, glyceral style but with a solid spine of acidity to give shape to the wine’s creamy, peachy middle. Tightens up considerably on the back end, finishing classically dry and more austere than the Estate bottling, but still with excellent breadth. This needs a couple years in bottle to absorb its CO2 and express itself more fully.”
