Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos – 2014 – 92-95 points – Vinous

“Flinty reduction to the aromas of tangy orange zest, smoked meat and gunpowder. Large-scaled and quite spicy, conveying a rather unformed character to its wild flavors of crystallized lemon peel, licorice, flowers and Tabasco sauce. A wine of outstanding density, ripeness and salinity. Laroche’s Blanchots is a colder limestone wine, while this is from a hotter site that nonetheless retained superb acidity in 2014.”
