Wilson Daniels Celebrates 40 Years

Family-owned fine wine company celebrates a rich history representing outstanding producers

New York, NY – January 17, 2018 — Wilson Daniels, a family-owned fine wine importing and marketing company, will celebrate four decades of representing some of the world’s most prestigious wine brands. In 2018, the company will commemorate its 40th anniversary with a five-city anniversary tour in June starting in St. Helena, followed by Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, and ending in New York City.
The anniversary events will include tastings of some of the portfolio’s latest releases, along with retrospective tastings of older vintages. Among the esteemed producers whose current and library vintages will be tasted is the heralded Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, which Wilson Daniels has been privileged to represent in the United States since Win Wilson and Jack Daniels first met Aubert de Villaine in 1979.

Honoring a Rich History
Jack Daniels and the late Winston “Win” Wilson started Wilson Daniels in 1978 with a simple, compelling vision that the company maintains today: to represent high-end, single-vineyard-designated wines from around the world. It was this vision that marks the company’s successful stance in the fine wine market today – targeting restaurants, luxury hotels, the global wine trade and private individuals.

Shortly after Rocco Lombardo joined the company as President in 2015, Wilson Daniels reinvented itself through the launch of its own wholesale business in the United States’ most competitive and valuable urban wine market – New York City. The Underwood family, owners of Wilson Daniels, launched Wilson Daniels Wholesale as a companion to its national importing and marketing company. Today, the company continues its work on preeminent brands while focusing on the winemaking powerhouses of Italy and France.
