Soil: Rich in iron, very pebbly, quartz, fragments of schist, sandstone, granite
An early and rapid harvest due to the maturation and concentration of the grapes.
Harvest Dates: Late September to early October
Barrel Aging: 10 months in 80- to 100-year-old ancestral oak casks
Aromas of over-ripe pears (Williams, mirabelle, and green gage pears); excellent concentration in the mouth; the delicacy is backed up by the minerality characteristic of this wine.
