2011 Sauvignon Blanc, Marlborough
FRENZY is a name inspired by the myriad, uncontrollable forces of nature that must fall into place in order to make great wine. It also connotes the numerous, vivid aromatic and flavor characteristics you will find in our New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Priced to offer exceptional value, FRENZY doesn’t compromise in its display of peach, grapefruit, lime, melon and fresh-cut grass characteristics, all enveloped in a brisk, refreshing acidity that will complement a wide range of foods. In just three years, the success of this wine has exceeded our expectations and we are pleased to continue to craft this wine using high quality Sauvignon Blanc that is highly expressive and an exceptional value.
FRENZY Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from selected vineyards located in New Zealand’s famous Marlborough region on the South Island, which is ideally suited to this varietal. Meticulous vineyard management and innovative winemaking combine to produce a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
The 2011 growing season produced intensely flavored Sauvignon Blanc with good acidity. Harvest was a little earlier than usual, crop levels were thinned, flavors developed a little early, but the grapes retained the crisp acidity for which Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is renowned.
This wine is aromatic and lively, bursting with flavors of passion fruit, melon, citrus, peach and fresh cut grass. The palate is dry and vibrant with racy acid and typical pungency. Enjoy chilled as an aperitif, or match with fresh seafood.
