Le Mesnil-sur-Oger is located 12.4 miles south of Épernay in the middle of the Côte des Blancs. The quiet village of some 1,400 people and its 12th-century Romanesque church form a peaceful setting for vines growing on nearby slopes. Le Mesnil-sur-Oger is one of only five grand cru villages in the Côte des Blancs; it is 100 percent Chardonnay and arguably the best of the Côte des Blancs grands crus.
