2007 Limited Selection Sauvignon Blanc 93 points "This bottling from veteran Gainey is one of the most dependable in California. The ’07 doesn’t disappoint, bringing back memories of the fabulous ’04 and ’05. Like them, it’s dry, rich and crisp in acidity, with a sourdough yeastiness, like Champagne, that heightens and brightens the lemon, lime, fig and spice flavors." |

Founded in 1962, Gainey Vineyard is committed to farming its vineyards in a safe and sustainable way – a way that protects its workers, benefits the environment and produces its fine wines. The Gainey family was the first to explore the diversity of both the warmer eastern Santa Ynez Valley and the cooler western Sta. Rita Hills appellation. Today, third-generation owner Daniel H. Gainey continues the family’s mission to create a balance between agriculture (vineyards, produce) and rangeland (cattle, horses). The winery is nestled on Gainey Ranch, the largest diversified farming operation in Santa Ynez Valley, boasting more than 1,000 acres of rangeland devoted to cattle, 600 acres of organically cultivated farmland, 100 acres of Arabian horse facilities and 100 acres of sustainably farmed vineyards.
